Cheers! from the Duke of Bourbon
European Wine Cruise on board Radisson Seven
Seas Voyager
Rouen/France - Monte Carlo, 11 Nights - September
7-September 18, 2004
Specialty Cruises of Gig Harbor,
Washington, is creating a special wine cruise experience for customers of
the Duke of Bourbon. This exciting
cruise, on one of the world's most highly rated cruise lines (comparable to a floating Four Seasons Hotel), will
be hosted by David and Judy Breitstein, owners of the
Duke of Bourbon. The Duke has been in business since 1967 and was
named one of the best wine shops in the U.S. by Wine Spectator's Market
Watch Magazine.
Also aboard the beautiful Radisson Voyager
will be wine aficionado Jim Bisciglia, owner of Specialty Cruises,
wine expert Bartholomew Broadbent, who is one of the world's
foremost authorities on Port and Madeira, and world-class winemaker
Alois Kracher, the king of Austrian dessert wine. They will be
offering many wine- and food-related activities during the
cruise.
Special added-value features for
our group only (approximately 14-16 guests) will include
visits to two well-known chateaux in Bordeaux and a special Sherry
experience with a guided visit to Seville (from Cadiz) arranged by David &
Judy Breitstein. Also included will be a wine dinner ashore in Barcelona
featuring Catalan cuisine & wines, four wine dinners aboard ship featuring
first-growth and aged wines of Bordeaux and outstanding wines of both
Spain and Portugal. Two port tastings will be offered, one conducted by
Bartholomew Broadbent in Lisbon and another for our
group only conducted onboard by Bartholomew Broadbent, David
Breitstein and Jim Bisciglia, which will also feature the wines of
Madeira, hopefully including an example from 1795.|
