The
Duke has circled the following dates on his busy social calendar. Be sure to mark yours, too.
Wednesday, March 5, 2008 - The next Duke seminar featuring the fabulous wines of Foxen Vineyards, Krupp Brothers Estates and Ehlers Estate. Full details and invitations will be issued in the next few days.
Saturday, April 5, 2008 - Have a "A Walk Through the Vineyard" with us at Woodland Hills Country Club. Enjoy an afternoon of wine tasting at this beautiful venue. Guests will include (in no particular order) Inman Family Vineyards, Ehlers Estate, Long Vineyards, Lynmar Winery, Trespass Vineyard, Venge Vineyards, the Ports of Grahams, Dow and Smith Woodhouse and perhaps a Madeira or two from Blandy's. The Duke is riding shotgun on this event with the basic arrangements being made by Jim Knapp, Director of Wine, and the staff at WHCC. It promises to be an intriguing event itself in the afternoon with the promise of dinner later. Call the Duke if you want more details. We will issue invitations a few weeks before the event.
Wednesday, April 9, 2008 - The Duke's annual Central Coast Futures Tasting will feature guests Jim Clendenen, Bob Lindquist and Frank Ostini and their respective wines. It might sound like we are "preaching to the choir," but you don't want to miss this event!
Thursday, May 15, 2008 - The Valley Cultural Center's annual Food, Wine and Micro-brew Festival with the Duke once again in the co-pilot position. Over 1,000 connoisseurs from all over the Valley will gather to experience the ultimate in dining indulgence from local restaurants, wineries, and microbreweries. Another event that is not to be missed!
We will keep you posted on each of these events as more details become available.
