The Duke of Bourbon is a family-run retail wine and spirits enterprise established in 1967 in the West San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles, California. Au Bon Climat 1994 Pinot Noir, Talley Vineyards - Rincon and Rosemarys

What a wine! Last year noted wine authority Robert Parker touted the Au Bon Climat 1993 Talley Pinot Noir from Rosemary's Vineyard as '...an exquisite Pinot Noir that should send chills up the spines of even the most quality conscious Burgundians.' He gave it a score of 93. This version is a blend of two of the Talleys' finest vineyards - Rincon and Rosemarys. In fact, a barrel of this wine comprised 20% of the fabulous Au Bon Climat 1994 'Isabelle' Pinot Noir. Jim Clendenen describes it as a wonderfully rich, very dark and spicy wine that easily will live for many years.

This very famous Au Bon Climat wine just received a score of 90-94 from the Wine Spectator. Jim Clendenen feels it is in the league of his famed 1987 vintage with huge fruit and great intensity. A barrel of this wine also comprised 20% of the ABC 1994 'Isabelle' Pinot Noir. It's a real keeper.

A first for Au Bon Climat from this soon-to-be-famous Edna Valley vineyard of John Alban, who is becoming well-known for his outstanding Rhone varietals. Jim Clendenen has produced a stunning, ripe, intense, full-blown Chardonnay similar in flavor to his Talley Reserve Chardonnays.
Some of California's best and most exciting wines are produced 'Under One Roof' at the Au Bon Climat/Qupe facility in Santa Maria, CA. The innovative minds behind the activities under this roof are constantly experimenting and creating unique and intriguing wines in limited quantities. Many of the wines are so rare that they are never released commercially. Our 'Under One Roof Club' offers you the opportunity to acquire some of these very limited wines from these highly acclaimed producers on a bi-monthly basis:
- Jim Clendenen of Au Bon Climat, Il Podere Dell'Olivos, Vita-Nova and
Ici/La-Bas, producing Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and various Italian varietals
- Bob Lindquist of Qupe and Vita-Nova, producing Rhone varietals, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay
- Frank Ostini and Grey Hartley of Hitching Post, producing Pinot Noir and Zinfandel
- Jim Adelman of Makor, producing Pinot Blanc and Zinfandel
The 'Under One Roof Club' will operate as follows:
- At the beginning of every other month, we will ship 2 bottles of wine selected from the Under One Roof wineries.
- Each shipment will include an information sheet on the wines along with an order form to purchase additional bottles.
- Membership is for either 6 months or 12 months (it will be renewed automatically unless you notify us to cancel).
- Wine will be shipped approximately the first five days of the month (July, September, November, etc.)
- Order will be charged directly to your credit card (which we will keep on file).

This special 20th Anniversary Cuvee commemorates the prestigious Paris Tasting of 1976 in which the Chateau Montelena 1973 Chardonnay won first place in a blind tasting of outstanding California Chardonnays and French white Burgundies, bringing the high quality of California wines to the attention of the entire world.
Noted wine writer Robert Parker describes the 1993 Commemorative Chardonnay as '...the most concentrated, biggest, richest Chardonnay Chateau Montelena has produced.' Each commemorative bottle is graced with a hand-numbered label replicating the label on the 1973 Chardonnay that won the Tasting and is presented in a gorgeous Library-quality 'book'. Accompanying each bottle is a numbered certificate, a reprint of the original article from the June 7, 1976, issue of TIME magazine and the Official Results of the Tasting. Only 2500 bottles of this unique wine have been produced.
