And the Winner is...
The Twilight Tour for Manhattan's
Best Martini Announces its results
It was a tough job, but judges took on the challenge and performed admirably, as did the nine night spots that took part in Grey Goose Vodka's Twilight Tour for Manhattan's Best Martini this past month.
Clementine clinched the Classic Martini category, followed by China Club and Fifty Seven Fifty Seven. Judges called Clementine's take on the classic "crisp with no aftertaste."
In the Dirty Martini division, Clementine again claimed a victory with a concoction that had "a touch of dirty and a little love." This "tour de force" made one judge confess: "I hate dirty martinis, but I could drink this!" China Club and Cibar took second and third respectively.
For the city's greatest Cosmopolitan, judges gave their votes to Cibar, whose towering citrus sensation was called, quite simply, "the best!" Clementine and China Club were in the money with their Cosmopolitan creations.
When it comes to the House Special Martini, judges agreed that the China Club's "Razzaltini" was "top of the line!" Made with Grey Goose Vodka, creme de cacao, and raspberry liqueur and served in a glass rimmed with raspberry purée and sugar with a chocolate swizzle stick, the "Razzaltini" received perfect scores from most judges. Clementine's "Clementine," made with Grey Goose, clementine juice, and Grand Marnier, was close behind, followed by Cibar's "Aphrodisiac," a seductive mix of Grey Goose with coffee and chocolate liqueurs.
Best Bartender honors went to Clementine's tag team, Danny Millan and Junno Lee.
