WRAPPER: Moist; uniform color; looked tight & neat; had overall good appearance.
DRAW: A bit hard to draw, but taste, feel & wrapper outweigh.
AROMA: Mild-pleasant.
AFTERTASTE: Became slightly more bitter; smelled a hint of herbs, nutty taste began even before it was lit.

WRAPPER: Uniform color; dry taste on lips; surprising sweet taste.
ROLL: Cigars were soft, may be very fresh; couple of hard veins; could be a little tighter.
DRAW: Excellent; smooth.
AROMA: Mild-bodied cigar; had a hint of a chemical smell, could be result of bitterness.
AFTERTASTE: Excellent wood flavor; mild enough for a morning smoke.

WRAPPER: No oily consistency; has a shine like an expensive Cuban cigar; almost looks like a maduro.
ROLL: Well rolled; put together nicely.
DRAW: Very good draw; smooth and consistent.
AROMA: A mild and pleasant aroma; this cigar has a nice robust flavor.
AFTERTASTE: A bit strong, but mild and very pleasant; this is a cigar you can smoke at any time.

WRAPPER: Good looking; clean; very few veins; soft and slightly dry.
ROLL: Loose roll; soft; slightly dark discoloration; tobacco was not consistently rolled.
FIRMNESS: Cigars got softer and improved after lighting; started to loosen up.
DRAW: Effortless - excellent. AROMA: Mild to pleasant.
AFTERTASTE: Mild, bland; touch of nutty flavor; very mild; no taste.

WRAPPER: Strong with a peppery flavor; good looking big cigar; excellent coloring & crown; very moist.
ROLL: Well rolled; on the loose side; loose but a far superior cigar; soft cushiony feeling in mouth.
DRAW: Good even draw; no problems; loose roll made for an easy draw.
BURN: Slightly uneven; slight canoeing; burned faster than core.
AROMA: Mild to pleasant.
AFTERTASTE: Ranged from mild to strong.

WRAPPER: Dry, clean wrapper; nice sheen; cap was on to stay; no bits in my mouth.
ROLL: Loose, but fresh; packed nicely; well rolled; tight but good draw.
FIRMNESS: Held its firmness; very consistent.
DRAW: Good draw and burn; smooth draw; stayed lit even when not puffing for several minutes.
AROMA: All agreed it was mild and pleasant; good taste and aroma; not overpowering.
AFTERTASTE: Mild, nutty & spicy taste.

Robert B. Kulat, is president of Kulat Communications, a public relations firm based in Shrewsbury, NJ. The company represents KIWI International Air Lines, BMW, Aviation Week magazine, The Sands Hotel & Casino, and many other companies in the aviation and travel industries. A former football and rugby player, Rob still enjoys the group dynamics and camaraderie of sports, even now as a spectator. Rob is a graduate of the University of Illinois, and has three boys.
David Friedland, co-owner of The Cigar Shop, Ltd. In Great Neck, New York since 1995. He has been smoking cigars for 30 years. Amongst his favorites are Arturo's and Churchill's. During his leisure time, Dave plays golf, fishes and "chases the best cigars in the world that he can find." Dave is married and has two children.


Frank C. Holltham, Jr., 38, is the sole proprietor of Leonard Toyota and Glen Toyota, automobile dealerships in Bergen County. He has been smoking cigars for 10 years and enjoys relaxing in his cigar room with a good smoke and a fine cognac or port. Frank's passions include flying, skiing, snowmobiling, boating, and sports events. He is married and has two children.
Barbara Kolesaire, and her husband Gary have owned The Tobacco Shop of Ridgewood, NJ, since 1979. Barbara enjoys smoking cigars and regularly avails herself to the Tobacco Shop's generous selection of premium cigars like Davidoff, Fuente Fuente, Bahia, etc. Barbara spends most of her free time attending her two sons baseball, basketball, hockey and soccer games.


John Richard Radoian, 45, a retired Police Officer, was employed by the Port Authority of New York/New Jersey for 18 years, and served as a Volunteer Fireman for 25 years. Rich has been smoking cigars for the past 15 years, "when relaxed I like to smoke cigars, and especially after dinner and sporting events." A football, wrestling and baseball coach, Rich is married and has three teenage boys.
